The contracting company has moved the pillars back into place, but it is not finished; the footings underneath need to be installed. The workers make up excuses about why they will not come back the next day. Then they do not come back when they say they will. Somerimes the excuse is the gound is too wet. However, the pillar is still good and straight, and Mr. Peltzer does not think it is a hazud. Once the workers have the solid support underneath, it will be finished. Gerry Strathman asked when that will happen. Mr. Peltzer responded he tried calling again this morning, but could not reach the contractor. John Peitzer asked what lie could do to get the workers to move along with this project. Gerry Strathman responded he could not advise on that issue. Gerry Strathman denied the appeal, but amended the vacate date to July 1, 1998. John Peltzer asked if three weeks go by and the project is not finished, can he do anything. Mr. Strathman responded at that point, Mr. Peltzer could ask Charles Votel, the Director of the Properiy Code Enforcement Department, for another extension. 725 Marshall Avenue #3 (Laid over from May 5, 1998) No one appeared represenCing the property. Pat Fish reported the appeal says Chat Kimberly Fan is selling the building, wants more time, and has to put a liner in the chimney. Ms. Fish does not have a psoblem witYi granting an extra thirry days, but would have a problem with more than that. Gerry Strathman denied the appeal citing Kimbefly Farr was akeady given an extension and no one is here asking for addifional rime. 1034 Suburban Avenue No one appeazed represenring the property. Pat Fish reported the appeal was filed as a precaurionaty measure. The owners negotiated a deai with the tenants and gave the tenants relocation money. Ms. F sh went out to the residence �(� -'}92� NOTES OF THE PROPERTY CODE ENFORCEMENT MEETING, 6-2-98 Page 2 yesterday and the last tenants was moving out that day.
