It will have been one year since the task force discussed it's fmai report with Mayor Coleman at

A second purpose of the meeting will be to gather progress information from task force members,
How many of the 43 recommendauons in the CDA are moving forward? Last winter and spring, task
force leaders and Deputy Mayor Tim Marx presented the Communiry Development Agenda to the City
Council, the Ramsey Counry Board, and the School Board. Significant progress has been made on
several recommendations. With the agenda for January 20, I will send a beginning summary of
progress, but it will report mainly on actions by city govemment. If you know about actions to
implement CDA recommendations, you will have a chance at the meeting to add to the one-year
progress report.
A third purpose of the meeting is to prepare for the Saint Paul League of Women Voters' Circle of
Leadership lunch on February 12, 1998. They ace inviting 250 community leadeis and funders. This
year their topic is the Saint Paul Communiry Development Agenda. The speakers include Denise
Harris, Pat Donovan, Sue Haigh, Tom Kingston, and Mary Thornton Phillips. Denise and Pat would
like your input on what reconnmendations in the CDA should be priorities for 1998 and how they can
(how we all can) promote them effectively.
If you have any questions, please call me at 266-6575.
