98-24Council File # lq _ a� : : Green Sheet # 60579 Presented By Referred To 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 il 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 RESOLUTION C1TY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Committee: Date VJHEREAS, the Minnesota National Hockey League franchise has generously eartended invitations to City officials and staff to attend a name and logo unveiling of the State's newest professional sports team, and WF�REAS, it is in the public interest for the City to demonstrate its support and enthusiasm for the success of the return of major league professional hockey to Minnesota, now therefore be it, RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul bereby accepts the invitations on behalf of City officials and staff and appropriates them to the use by officials and staff, FURTHER RESOLVED, the Council declares a public purpose in the use of the invitations to demonstrate the support of the City toward this worthwhile community enterprise, and FINALLY RESOLVED, the Council extends its thanks and appreciation to the team for its thoughtful and exciting gift.
