98-221Council File # g�"Z 2/ ORiG1NAL CiTI( OF Presented Referred To RESOLUTION INNESOTA 1 WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul is experiencing great economic success 2 and; 3 WHEREAS, more downtown employees will be using public transportation, and: Green Sheet #�� Committee Date �2 bringing more employees, 4 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has received complaints from commuters regarding couriers and delivery 5 vehicles with City of Saint Paul pernuts parking in bus stops, and; 6 WI-IEREAS, the City of Saint Paul issues pernuts through the Department of License, Inspection and Environmental 7 Protection in compliance with Chapter 167 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, and; 8 WHEREAS, Chapter 167 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is silent on what adverse action the City may take 9 against pernut holders who abuse their permit by parking in a duly designated bus stop, now therefore be it; 10 RESOLVED, that the Department of License, Inspection and Environmental Protection develop a system to review 11 permit holder acdons and take appropriate adverse action against the pernut holder and report back the City Council 12 with those recommendations by May 6, 1998.
