WFIEREAS, the City of Saint Paul by document no. 1904539 dated March 15, 1974, acquired the use of Tax
Forfeited Land, for Swede Hollow Park, described as Lot 3 Block 1 and Northwesterly '/z of adjacent Vacate
Eighth Street Auditor's Subdivision No. 73, from the State of Minnesota; and,
WHEREAS, Financial L.easing Services sold the adjacent properry to the State of Minnesota far Metropolitan
State University, and there is a part of a building for a tower encroaching on the vacated portion of this
tax-forfeit parcel and has requested that the City release iYs interest to clear tide to the property.
WHEREAS, The Department of Parks and Recreation and the Saint Paul Parks & Recreation Commission
Resolution #98-1 have reviewed and approved the request to reconvey the Eastern �/z ofrhe Northwesterly 1/2
of vacated Eighth Street adjacent to Lot 3 Block 1 to the State of M3nnesota for subsequent resale to
Financial Leasing Services.
TFIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the proper
Officials to execute an application of reconveyance of said Eastern 1/2 of the Northwesterly 1/2 of
vacated Eighth Street adjacent to Lot 3 Block 1 to the State of Minnesota.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that compensation, for said easements in the amount of $550.00 be deposited into
Parkland Replacement Fund 720. Activity Code 50087-7306-330 and held in reserve for purchase of Park
properties as required in Chapter 13.01.1 of the City Charter, the above mentioned amount being a fair and
reasonable value as determined by an independent appraiser;

part of the tas forfeit parcel being used for Swede Hollow Park. 'I'he area of the tax forfeited parcel
that is requested must be reconveyed to the State and than to Financial Leasing Services.

Notice is hereby given that the petition to release a part of
vacated Eithth Street in Swede Hollow Park to clear title to a
property, thereof on file and on record in the office of the City
Clerk of Saint Paul, Minnesota,will be heard and considered by the
Saint Paul City Council at a meeting thereof to be held in the
Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall and Court House on
the llth day of March, 1998 at 5:30 P.M.

Notice is hereby given that the petition to release a part of
vacated Eithth Street in Swede Hollow Park to clear title to a
property, thereof on file and on record in the office of the City
Clerk of Saint Paul, Minnesota,will be heard and considered by the
Saint Paul City Council at a meeting thereof to be held in the
Council Chambers on the 3rd floor of City Hall and Court House on
the llth day of March, 1998 at 5:30 P.M.
