WI�REAS, Mivuesota Laws of 1997, Chapter 216, Section 5, Subdivision 9 includes an
appropriation from the State of Minnesota, to fi�rther the redevelopment of Harriet Isiand Pazk, as
set forth below:
"$2,700,000 the first yeat is for a grant to the city of St. Paul for expenditutes necessuy
to carry out the Harriet Island redevelopment in accordance with the LilydalelFiarriet
Island master plan. The appropriation is available to the extent it is matched by an equal
amount from nonstate sources by June 30, 1998. Before the appropriation or local
match is spent or obligated, the city of St. Paul must seek public comments on the Harriet
Island redevelopment," and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul by its Council Resolution 97-1412 has agreed to
comply with the requirements of said grant, and
WFIEREAS, it is necessary to establish a project in the City's Capital Impmvement
Budget to receive and expend funds under said grant,
14 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon
15 recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget
16 Committee, that the 1998 Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted and amended, is
17 hereby further amended as follows:
