WHEREA5, the Saint Paul Police Department prepared a council resolution in 1997 to accept this
grant, however the resolution only included the amount for the first year of the grant and not the full
two years, and
W�iEEREAS, the Department of Public Safety requests a designated authority for the esecution of
agreements, and `
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council accept this grant award in the amount of $150,000 for
the Summit University Weed and Seed program and authorizes Chief William Finney, to enter into
an agreement with the Department of Public Safety .
