WHEREAS, The Mayor recommends that the Following addifion be made to the 1998 budget:

1 WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Police Department has received generous donations in honor of slain canine
2 Callahan,and
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Police Department desires to establish a spending plan to improve the field lighting
at the Timothy Jones Canine Training Facility, and
7 WH�REAS, This improvement would benefit the Police Department in that most canine teams work after
8 dark and this would allow training dnring the evening hours, and

10 WHEREAS, The Mayor pursuant to Sectio¢ 10.U71 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that
11 there are available for appropriation funds in excess of those estimated in the 1998 budget; and
