1 WHEREAS, Better Living Homes, Inc., 2197 Silver Lake Road, New Brighton, MN 55112, is the
2 owner and developer of 406 Cottage Avenue W., located on the south side of Cottage Avenue,
3 between Western Avenue and Wheelock Parkway, and described within the following
4 "Attachment A;"

6 WHEREAS, Better Living Homes, Inc., is developing this property into a thirty (30) unit
7 "owner-occupied," townhouse development;

9 WHEREAS, the site provides insufficient public street frontage to allow for thirty (30} addresses
10 on Cottage Avenue;
11
12 WHEREAS, Better Living Homes, Inc., is constructing a private street as shown on "Attachment
13 B" to provide access to the townhouse units;
14
15 WHEREAS, it is desirable to provide unique street addresses for each residence to reduce
16 confusion and create a better sense of an individual owner's residence;
17
18 WHEREAS, Better Living Homes, Inc., desires to name this private street and have their
19 townhouses addressed off this street, now be it
20
21 RESOLVED, that the private street as shown on "Attachment B", shall hereafter be known and
22 designated as CONSERVATORY COURT and shall remain a privately owned street and be it
23 further
24
25 RESOLVED, that the Department of Public Works shail issue house numbers for the
26 townhouses using Conservatory Court as the designated street name; and be it further
27
28 RESOLVED, that the developer and/or its successors in interest shall install and maintain house
29 numbers on the homes in accordance with Chapter 71 of the Saint Paui Legislative Gode; and

Avenue cul-de-sac. The fimited frorrtage on Cottage Avenue would only aliow for one address for each building or group
of townhomes. Individual townhomes wouid have to be designated by a unit number, or an alpha unit designator (i.e. Unit
i, or Unit A}
AOVANTAGE$ IF APPROVED:
Would allow a unique individual street address to be assigned to each townhome'which is most desirable to reduce
confusion and create a better sense ot an individual owner's residence. Similar situations include the previously approved
private streets of Pathways and Bridlewood Drives off of Ruth Street, and Spencer Road and Carling Drive oSf of Energy
