� WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its Valuation Engineer, has secured an agreement for the purchase of
2 a parcel of real property located at 1661 Hoyt Avenue East and described as Lot 13, Block 2, Birt's Addition; and
WHEREAS, the said property sustained flood damages during the June 30, 1997 rain storm and, with 33 other owners of
damaged or endangezed properties, the owners petitioned for ielief, funding for such relief, the Hoyt-Montana F1ood
Remediation Project, is to be State and Federal grants and various City funding sources; and
s WHEREAS, purchase of the said properties was final ordered on July 22, 1998; and

io WHEREAS, the respective negotiated sale prices of the said properties is $84,000.00,the said sale prices being fair and
i� reasonable value as deternuned by an independent appraiser; and

�s WHEREAS, the Valuation Engineer has recommended the purchase of said properties at the agreed sale price;

ts NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that, as set forth in the respective purchase agreemen[s, the proper City
t6 officials are hereby authorized and directed to pay to Ronald D. and Bonnie C. Erickson the sum of $84,000 for the
n purchase of the said property, payment to be chazged to Activity Code CPL-C98-2B030.

io WHEREAS, the City will proceed to do the project in three phases: Phase I is acquisition, Phase II is demolition,
�i and Phase III is contruction of the dry basin holding pond; and

ia WHEREAS, the State DNR has committed up to �1.7 million to the City of Saint Paul for this purpose; an

�s WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has committed 5570,0�0 to the City of Saint

ia WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has committed �125,000 for this purpose; an
