CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

1 WHEREAS, the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC), via the State General Fund,
2 provides funds to assist political subdivisions of the State of Minnesota for the development of youth
3 sports and recreation programs, and
4 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is an eligible applicant for these funds and desires to submit
5 grarn applications for the following program, and
6 7unmv Lee Recreation Center - Funding for five (5) youth football teams, four (4) youth
7 basketball teams, and new scoreboard for the gymnasium ($5,000).
8 WHEREAS, the above mentioned proposed application to the MASC requires the participation
9 of the City of Saint Paul as the unit of local government and resolution by local government to apply
10 for fitnding.
11 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ciry CouncIl of Saint Paul authorizes the
12 proper city officials to submit the following grant application, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation will
serve as the o�cial liaison with the MASC for the purposes of administering the before
mentioned grant projects.
