As of the present time, no City Department or public utility has an interest in the alley being kept as right of way. I spoke to a representative from the License, Maps & Permits Section of Public Warks, they indicated that they probably will not improve the alley. If the petitioner wishes to improve the alley right of way for his own use, Public Warks will more than likely allow him to proceed as long as the proper work permits are applied for. As of the present time, no City Department or public utility has an interest in the alley being kept as right of way. I spoke to a representative from the License, Maps & Permits Section of Public Warks, they indicated that they probably will not improve the alley. If the petitioner wishes to improve the alley right of way for his own use, Public Warks will more than likely allow him to proceed as long as the proper work permits are applied for. If you need mare information on permits, please call Linda Dickhut at 266-6127 (Public Works). I will send you off a draft copy of the Council resolution hopefully within the week, this is the instrument which will approve the vacation. As of the present time, no City Department or public utility has an interest in the alley being kept as right of way. I spoke to a representative from the License, Maps & Permits Section of Public Warks, they indicated that they probably will not improve the alley. If the petitioner wishes to improve the alley right of way for his own use, Public Warks will more than likely allow him to proceed as long as the proper work permits are applied for.
