RESOLUTION
CITY OF SAIIVT PAUL, M{NNESOTA
WTiEREAS, the Como Zoological Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the
preservation and enhancement of Como Zoo, is holding a golfing tournament benefit on Monday,
August 1 l, 1997, and
WHEREAS, several concessionaires and food vendors haue generously offered to assist
in this event to fiuti�er its success, and
WFIEREAS, the Society has graciously extended invitations to the tournament to elected
city officials and city staff, nowtherefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the thoughtful
invitations to the event and appropriates them to the usage of city officials and staff, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, the Council hereby declares a public purpose in the
acceptance of invitations in aclrnowledgment of the good work of the Society in furthering the
continued usage and success of the Como Zoo, and
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Council expresses its thanks and appreciation to the
Society and supporting vendors and concessionaires for the staging of this worthwhile pubiic
promotion and benefit.
