Committee Date WI�REAS, the Minuesota Dapartment of Revenue is currently located in the River&ont District, at 10 River Plaza, 2 near Fillmore and Robert Streets; and 3 WHEREAS, the Department of Revenue Building continues to have a positive unpact on development in the 4 Riverfront District; and WI3fiREAS, the Department of Revenue is located in the major taxpaying building in the City of Saint Paul's RiverFront Tas Increment Financing District; and 7 WHEREAS, the relocation of the Department of Revenue from its current location would adversely affect the 8 Riverfront District and downtown Saint Paul; and 9 WHEItEAS, the Muinesota State Legislature will decide whether or not the Department of Revenue will construct 10 a new building and be moved from its current location; 11 TF�REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ciiy of Saint Paul strongly supports the Department of Revenue staying 12 at its current location at 10 River Plaza; 13 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if the Department of Revenue is moved, it should be moved only to 14 another downtown or River&ont location.
