RESOLUTION Green Sheet # �C��� ''9 Presented Referred " 1 WHEREAS, on April 2, 1997, City Council considered Resolution 97-349 which introduced the Capital City Development 2 Program, was laid over until Apri130, 1997, to be discussed at the policy meeting; and 3 WHEREAS, on Apri130, 1997, public discussions was held conceming the development of the capital City development 4 Program which couid realign city development objectives with neighborhood based proposals for housing and business 5 revitalization by tazgeting specific residential and commercial azeas which require strategies for these activities; and 6 WIIEREAS, the Capital City Development Progam is a proposal in response to policy discussions generated at the City 7 Council related to housing rehabilitation/new development and commercial development; and 8 WHEREAS, City Council directed PED staff to develop an implementation plan for the Capital City Development Program 9 to be brought back to the City Council within (6) weeks; and 10 WHEIZEAS, to facilitate discussion on these issues among City Councilmembers, City staff; and members of the community, ll a series of Resolutions pertaining to components of the Capital city Development Program will be introduced to assist in the 12 implementation of the Program; now therefore be it 13 RESOLVED, that PED work with the Ramsey County TaY Department to resolve outstanding issues on iransference of tax 14 forfeit property by July 1, 1997; and be it further 15 RESOLVED, that PED work with HUD and other necessary agencies, private developers or community organizations to 16 develop a policy to assist community groups with acquisition and site assembly by July 1, 1997.
