Mayor Norm Coleman
City of Saint Paul
390 City Hafl
Saint Paul, MN 55102
Dear Mayor:
RE'CEiVEC
APR 10 19g1
7 yhi7.'S i tr-1t..i
Greatiy enjoyed seeing you at Saturday's Junior League gala. As you
requested, enclosed is my application for a Citizen Committee position.
! am seeking a Citizen Committee appointment, and volunteering on your
campaign, because I care deeply about our city's future. In addition to my
interest in public policy, and my enthusiasm for America's biggest and best
small town, I would bring to any committee assignment proven
communication, marketing and planning skilis, as well as creativity,
commitment, persuasiveness, and the ability to negotiate for resufts.
Having lived in two other worid-class cities -- San Francisco and Atlanta --
and being a refatively young person, I bring unique perspectives and
experiences that could be beneficial to you and our neighbors as we build
this community.
While I understand the Civic Center Committee spot is accounted for, I am
intesested in serving on another committee that would combine my skilis and
interest in public policy. Committee descriptions that particularly appeal to
me are those ofi the Riverfront Corporation, Saint Paul Neig orhood
Network, and the Neighborhood Advisory Committee.
I have enclosed for your review a resume, an application, and a Pioneer
Press editorial I recently wrote, which expresses my pride in our great city.
Mayor Coleman, thank you for your vision and commitment to Saint Paul. I
look forward to the possibility of assisting you and serving our city in the role
of Citizen Committee member. ---
Best wishes,

One of my colleagues, Eric Schubert, recently submitted an application to serve on

Eric is a Saint Paui resident who takes enormous pride in his community. Next to you,
