WHEREAS, the�F,-itp'S�Saint Paul approved the operarion and maintenance of the Town
Squaze service charge, Council File 96-1304, on October 9, 1996 for the period of July 1, 1996 to
June 30, 1997. The maintenance of the lower three levels was assessed to the seven adjacent property
owners and is part of the property taxes payable in 1997.
WHEREAS, on January 1, 1997 three of the affected properties changed ownership and the
new owners assumed responsibiliry for maintenance of Town Square's tluee lower levels thus
resulting in a reduction of fifiy percent for the 1996-1997 maintenance fee assessed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the 1996-1997 Town Square service charge
$1,186,916.00 ($865,746.00 +$321,170.00 Loft) be reduced by one-half for the maintenance of the
lower three levels in the amount of $432,873.00 to be distributed among the seven affected properties
as follows:
