WIIEREAS, Miim. Stat. § 471.705, subd. la (1994), provides that a governing body of a public
employer may by majority vote in a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to consider
labor negotiation issues; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Council of the City of Saint Pau1 to meet and discuss
various labor negofiafion issues for the present term of negotiations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul will hold a closed meeting to
discuss labor negotiation issues pursuant to the provisions of Minn. Stat. § 471.705, subd. la
(1994), said meeting to be held on May 19, 1997, at 130 p.m. in the Council Conference Room;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proceedings of the said closed meeting will be taped
and such tape sha11 be preserved in accordance with Mimi. Stat. § 471.705, subd. 1 a.
