An Administrative Resolution amending the Civil Service Rules in Section 6.D. Examination Scoring.
RESOLVED that the Cidsl Service Rules be amended in Section 6.D.; Examination Scoring, Paragraph
3 8 and 9, by deleting in their entirety Paragraphs S and 9; and shall read as follows:
4 6. EXAMINATION SCORING
5 D. All applicants whose average scores are less than 75 percent correct in the examination taken as a
6 whole, or in any test or evaluation which is part of the examination if so published in the officiai
announcement, shalt have failed in the examination, and their names shail not be disclosed.
Both promotion and original entrance examinations, including any orai test or evaluation, shall be
macked according to the same standards.
I O In the case of all competitive examinations given pursuant to these rules, all tests shail be graded on
11 the basis of the correct answers given by the applicant. In no such cases shail such test scores be
12 adjusted, upwards or downwards, in order to arrive at a final test score.

When two or more examiners rate answers or tests independently, the final rating for each answer
or test shall be an average of the individual ratings.
Questions found by examiners to be unfair, misleading, or in the nature of catch questions, shall be
eliminated and the average rating determined on the remainder of the test.
The current standards for evaluating applicants' job-related training and experience, and fulfillment
of minimum requirements, shal] be kept on file as public records.
Allowance shall not be made to an applicant for time lost by the applicant in an examination.
