1 WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has authorized and the City has accepted
2 acquisitiOn (CF 94-1105) and development (CF 94-1106) grants in its £iscal year 1994-95
3 grant program £or the Burlington Northem (Phalen Creek) Regional Trail project, and
4 WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has agreed to transfer remaining funds from the
5 completed acquisition grant to the development grant, thereby amending both project grants,
6 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Pau1, upon
7 recommendation o£ the Mayor and positive advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget
8 Committee, that the 1994 Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted and amended by
9 the Council, is hereby further amended as £ollows:

Metropolitan Council grants for acquisition and development of the B.N. (Phalen Creek) Regional Trail have been
amended transferring surplus acquisition funds to development, for parking, lighting and landscaping improvements at
the trail entrance at E. 7th and Payne Ave. City's Capital Improvement Budget must be correspondingly amended.
ADVANTAGES IF APPflOVED:
City acquisition and development project budgets will match grant amounts. Surplus acquisition funds can be spent on
development work.
