use of the property as a landfill, and
WHEREAS, CMC Heartland Partners is a successor to the CYucago, Milwaukee, Saint Paul and
Pacific Railway Company, and
WHEREAS, CMC Heartland Partners is interested in selling the property to the City, and
WHEREAS, The City Parks and Recreation has submitted a proposal to the Cagital Improvement
Budget Committee to purchase the properry far parks purposes ,and
WfiEREAS, CMC Heartland Partners has agreed to suspend marketing the property until the Ciry
budget process is complete, now therefore
i9 BE IT RESOLVED, The proper City o�cials are authorized to enter into negotiafions with CMC
ao Heartland Partners for the purchase of the property in the Pigs Eye lake area shown on the attached

zs BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That any agreement reached is subject to funding approval and

to purchase the property. If the proposal is approved the money will not be available until 1998.
