2 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul and the Greening of the
3 Great River Park Project of the Saint Paul Foundation have
4 developed a plan for landscape plantings in the downtown
5 Mississippi River Valley, and
6 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (CF 95-1434), the Greening
7 of the Great River Park Project and the Minnesota Department of
8 Transportation (MnDOT) have agreed upon implementation of a
9 landscaping plan for MnDOT lands along the Lafayette Freeway
10 (TH52) and,
11 WHEREAS, the Greening of the Great River Park Project and
12 MnDOT will provide financing to the City for the Lafayette
13 Freeway (TH52) landscaping contract with contract administration
14 to be provided by the City,
15 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
16 Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the positive
17 advice of the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee,
18 that the 1996 Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted
19 and amended by the Council, is hereby further amended as follows:
