They offered us a free training session of our choice of programs in the hopes that our office would want to use their services for our future tra.ining needs. We described the fact that our office has no influence on the training policies of the City and directed them to the Information Systems office which does arrange tra.ining for employees of the City. Nevertheless, they did offer training to an employee of our cho3ce in exchange for the lead, and in the hopes that if we avaii ourselves of the offer, we will tell the IS department what we think of the training. They offered us a free training session of our choice of programs in the hopes that our office would want to use their services for our future tra.ining needs. We described the fact that our office has no influence on the training policies of the City and directed them to the Information Systems office which does arrange tra.ining for employees of the City. Nevertheless, they did offer training to an employee of our cho3ce in exchange for the lead, and in the hopes that if we avaii ourselves of the offer, we will tell the IS department what we think of the training. We are reques6ng that you prepare an enabling resolution from the City Council in order to accept the offer for free training at the intermediate level in the Lotus 123 for windows program duruig the month of January 1997. The class is to be given in the Brooklyn Center location It will help our office obtain needed training in a timely fashion. Attached is a copy of the written materials they provided to us as well as downloads from their home page.
