Whereas, the Eagle is symbolic of our American Preedom; and
Whereas, the Boy Scouts uphold our values of good citizenship and fair play; and
Whereas, the Eagle 5cout Award is the highest Boy Scout Achievement, earned by less
than two percent of all Boy Scouts in America; and
Whereas, as a Boy Scout member of Troop #577, Joel Gregory Mueller has earned 12
merit badges in leadership skills through his hard work and dedication; and
Whereas, Joel has been awarded three citizenship badges, including his merit badge
for organizinq an environmental community outreach project whereby bluebird houses
were constructed along the City's Gateway Trail; and
Whereas, as a St. Bernard's High School sophomore student, Joel has also participated
in high school athletics, including Basketball and Track;
Now, Be It Resolved that the City o£ Saint Paul recognizes Joel Gregory Mueller, son
of Greg and Marjorie Mueller, as a distinguished Boy Scout who has earned the Boy
Scout of America's Eagle Scout Award; and
Further, Be It Resolved that the City of Saint Paul salutes Joel Gregory Mueller as
soaring high above all in his achievement of the Eagle Scout Award, the highest Boy
Scout Award.
