WHEREAS, the STAR Boazd recommended that the renovarion to the Rayette BuIIding, 262 E. Sth Street, for use as a 320-stall
pazking ramp, be included in the third cycle of the Neighborhood Sales TaY Program;
WHEREAS, the project was not included in Ciry Council Resolurion #97-1320, which approved projects to be funded during the
third cycle of the Neighborhood Sales Ta7c Program;
WHEREAS, the project warranu fiuther considerafion because of the potential unpact pazking development would have on other
development in the Lowertown azea and becamse of the pazking shortages in downtown;
NOW T'HEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that the budget for Cycle 3 of the STAR program be amended to include funding for a
loan to GMT Corporation for development of the Rayette Building, subject to negotiation of terms and condirions acceptable to the
Director of the Department of Planning and Economic Development;
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, the budget be amended as follows:
