97-1500Council File # 9 —/SOd RESOLUTION CITY OF SAtNT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented by Referred To Green Sheet # 5aa q 9 Committee Date Whereas The St. Paul Companies and the City of Saint Paul entered into a cooperative effort to build 2 a home in Saint Paul for the project known as "Habitat for Humanity," at 667 E. Cook, and 3 Whereas The St. Paul Companies generously donated a sponsorship fee to underwrite material 4 costs as part of the project, and Whereas, the employees of both The St. Paul Companies and the City of Saint Paul also generously donated their time and labor to the project without further compensation to the project, and Whereas, both The St. Paul Companies and the Ciry of Saint Paul wish to honor all of their employees with a memento tool kit and commemorative pin in recognition of their significant contribution to the betterment and livability of the Saint Paul community, now therefore be it, 10 Resolved, that the City of Saint Paul accepts this generous donation of tool kits from The St. Paul 11 Companies and appropriates them to the use of those employees who thoughtfully contributed of their time 12 and labor in this significant project, and 13 Further Resolved, the Council ofthe City of 5aint Paul declares a public purpose in the award of tool 14 ldts and commemorative pins in recognition of the leadership role of The St. Paul Companies and all other 15 employees in making Saint Paul a Habitat For Humanity. 16 Finally Resolved, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul e�ends its heartfelt thanks and deep 17 appreciation to The St. Paul Companies, their employees and the employees of the City of Saint Paul 18 for their ma�uanimous contribution to the revitalization of one of Saint Paul's needy communities. �� is�� Requested by Department of: Adoplion Certified by Council Secretary �: �(�� ,,._�..�� o Approved by Mayor: Date ?.� d Q �': � u . .
