Nextel Communications, the Board of Water Commissioners and the City of Saint Paul allowing wireless communication antennas and equipment at the Board's Annapolis Tank site at Manomin Avenue in the City of West St. Paul Nextel Communications desires to install wireless personal communication equipment on the e�sting water tower located on the site until such time as APT Muuieapolis, Inc. constructs an antenna tower on the site. If APT is allowed to construct that tower, Nextel will relocate its equipment onto it, this proposed lease with Nextel will terminate and a contract agreement between APT and Nextel wiIl become effecuve. Under terms of an agreement with APT, 20% of the revenue paid by Nextel to APT will be paid to the Boazd. This lease provides for a six-month term which automatically renews for one additional suc-month period at a monthly lease rate of $1,000. If APT is not permitted to construct the anticipated tower, staff w�71 proceed to negotiate a lease with Ne�el allowing continued installation on the e�sting water tower for a period not to exceed 5 years, during which tixne the demolition of the water tower wlll be scheduled by the Utility at Board expense.
