Green Sheet # o S RESOLUTION SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented Referred To Committee Date // Requesring the Planning Commission to Review the Fire and Emergency Services Chapter of the Comprehensive Plan 1 WI�REAS, the Saint Paul City Council directed Council Research to conduct a performance audit of the Saint Paul 2 Fire DepartmenYs Fire Operations Division; and 3 WE�REAS, as pazt of that performance audit process, Council Research reviewed the Fire and Emergency Medical 4 Services chapter of the Comprehensive Plan to check for alignment between the recommendations in the plan and 5 curtem Fire Operations Division policies; and 6 WFIF.REAS, Council Research has identified instances where the practices of the Fire Operations Division are not ? in alignment with the Fire and Emergency Medical Services chapter of the Comprehensive Plan; and 8 WHEREAS, the Fire and Emergency Medical Services chapter of the Comprehensive Plan was recommended to the 9 City Council for approval by the Saint Paul Planning Commission; and 10 WI�REAS, it is the responsibility of the Planning Commission to keep the Comprehensive Plan pertinent and 11 useable; now therefore be it 12 RESOLVED, that The Saint Paul City Council requests the Planning Commission review the Fire and Emergency 13 Medical Services chapter of the City of Saint Paul Comprehensive Plan, in light of the performance audit and its 14 findings, and be it further 15 RESOLVED, that the City Council requests the Planning Commission to advise the City Council of its intentions 16 concerning updating of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services chapter of the Comprehensive Plan within 120 17 days from the date of this resolution.
