In addition, some commercial rainleader disconnection can cost many tens of thousands of dollazs. Currenfly, the properiy owner must make arrangements to pay their contractar the entire sum when this kind of work is finished. Saint Paul asked for and received penmission from the State I.egislature to create a progam where these costs can be assessed. The proposed program is compazable to the Water Utility's lead service repair program. The authorizing bill requires Saint Paul to pass a resolution approving the program. A properiy owners faced with a huge cost to repair their sewer will have an opfion of financing the cost through this City program over a twenty year period. Thi� financin�roeram wiil be voluntarv.
