The Minnesota State Legislature, under the 1997 Omnibus Crime Bill, and through the
Department of Public Safety, has awarded the Saint Paul Police Department an Overtime
grant in the amount of $125,000. DPS procedure requires that the governing body name
a person to accept and expend the funds. The Chief of Police is the appropriate person
to accept the grant.
