97-1138Council File # f � — { � � � Green Sheet # �d �U RESOLUTION CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA Presented By Referred To �ommiczee : liate 1 RESOLVED, that the attached amendment to the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, 2 which was proposed and adopted by the Council of the City of Saint Paul on August 6, 1997, 3 and as to which the Charter Commission took acuon on September 10, 1997, and notified the 4 Council thereof, be submitted to the electorate of the City of Saint Paul at the general election 5 to be held November 4, 1997; and, be it 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ciry Clerk is hereby directed to take the necessary steps for such publication of the proposed amendment as may be required by law; and, be it FINALLY RESOLVED, that pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 410.12, subd. 4(1996) the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby fixes the statement of the question on the ballot for such proposed amendxnent, to read as follows: "Shall the Charter be amended to provide that city officers and employees shall be placed on unpaid leave of absence from their city positions while holding any city elected office, including the o�ces of mayor and councilmember?"
