1 WI�REAS, the Area J GirPs Fastpitch Team (14 and under) consists of coach Dennis Fitzgerald, assistant coach
2 Mike Rydeil, injured player tumed bookkeeper Jenna Komeczny, and players Brianne Adamez, Jody Berger,
3 Yvonne Courteau, Seleena Eashnan, Sarah Geise, Kristin Linell, Ale�s Mazquez, Andrea Nelson, Ann Radke,
4 Colette Reed, Nicole Schmidt and Kristin Lecy, and
5 WIIEREAS, the team posted an outstanding record of 44 wins and 191osses, and
6 WHEREAS, the team won 3 sepazate tournaments including the Centennial, Apple Valley and Minnesota State
7 Class B Championship. The latter by defeafing North Saint Pau16-1, and
WHEREAS, the team went on to represent Minnesota in the GirPs Fastpitch Area Tournament placing 6`� out of
twenty-seven teams, and
10 WHEREAS, throughout the season the team, individually and collectively, displayed courage, class, and
1 I sportsmanship through sickness and other adversities, both on and off the field, and
12 NO W, BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council recognizes the efforts of the parents and coaches of the Area
13 J Girl's Fastpitch Team for their support, and for modeling leadership, fairness, perseverance and tenacity, and
14 NOW, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, the Saint Paul Cily Council officially congratulates the Area J Girl's
15 Fastpitch Team and commends them for skillfully representing Saint Paul in our state and the region.
