1 WHEREAS, Section 19, Chapter 554, Minnesota Laws 1990 pursuant to Minnesota
2 Statutes 1988, Chapter 654.021 allows the Division o£ Parks and Recreation,
3 with City Council approval, to sell 3.2 beer at events sponsored by the
4 Division o£ Paxks and Recreation; and
5 WHEREAS, The Division o£ Parks and Recreation is sponsoring Volunteer Fest '96
6 at the Public Safety Garage, 1675 Enexgy Park Drive, in conjunction with a
7 Saints game at Midway Stadium, on Monday, August 26, 1996, Erom 4 to 7 p.m.,
8 as a thank you to the many volunteers who serve the Division o£ Parks and
9 Recreation;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Division o£ Parks and Recreation may
sell 3.2 beer at its Volunteer Fest '96 using the licenses that the Division
holds under the following terms and conditions:
1. Sales may occux between 4 p.m. and "7 p.m. to individuals attending
Volunteer Fest '96 only.
2. That prudent care will be taken to ensure that all sales are made to
persons age 21 and over and that no sales are made to individuals who are or
appear to be intoxicated.
18 3. That proof o£ age for purposes of purchasing, possessing or consuming
19 3.2 beer will be required by issuing a non-removable wrist band to individuals
20 who have verified by valid driver's license or identification card that they
21 axe 21 years of age or older.
22 4. That the Division oP Parks and Recreation shall, at all times, comply
23 with all State of Minnesota and City of Saint Paul ordinances, laws, and
24 statutes pertaining to the sale of wine and 3.2 beer.
