WI�REAS, Jim Miller has been the Chair of the CapitolRiver Council (formerly Downtown Community
Development Council) for the past three yeazs; and
3 WHEREAS, Jim Miller has been an outspoken spokesperson for the CapitolRiver Council; constantly reminding
4 the City that Downtown is not only the center of commerce, it is also a neighborhood; and
5 WHEREAS, Jim Miller has particulazly been successful in his efforts to work with other district councils in
6 partnerships such as the River&ont Joint Council working with the West Side and West Seventh Street
7 neighborhoods to explore their common interests in riverfront development; and
8 WH�REAS, Jun Miller's sardonic sense of humor has become so notorious that it still can't be determined if he
9 was serious about renaming Prince Street to a symbol so that it could be known as "The 5treet Formerly Known
10 as Prince," and
11 WHEREAS, Jim Miller has served as President of the CapitolRiver Council with honor and distinction;
12 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council recognizes Jim Miller for his service to the
13 Downtown Community and to the City of Saint Paul by serving as Chair of the CapitolRiver Council.
