WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 471.705 subd. la provides that a governing body of a public
employer may be majority vote in a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to
consider strategy for labor negotiations; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Council of the City of Saint Paul to meet and discuss
various labor negotiation issues for the present term of negotiation; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby agrees to hold a closed
meeting to consider strategy for labor negotiations pursuant to the provisions of Minn. Stat. §
471.705 subd. lb, said meeting to be held on �v.h ,S , 199�, at �: 3 �

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proceedings of the closed meeting will be taped and
such tape shall be preserved in accordance with Minn. Stat. § 471.705 subd. la.
