WI�EREAS, The Saint Paul Division of Parks and Recreation holds a 3.2 beer and
wine license for the City�s Harriet/Raspberry Island Park; and
WAEREA5, Section 19, Chapter 554, MinneSOta Laws 1990 pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes 1988, Chapter 654.021 allows the Division of Parks and Recreation, with City
Council approval, to sell wine, and 3.2 beer at events sponsored by the Division of
Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Park5 and Recreation is sponsoring the Public Dock
Grand Opening at Harriet Island Park on Sunday, June 9, 1996 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:D0
p.m. at which the Saint Paul Chamber Orchester and other entertainment will perform;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Division of Parks and Recreation may Sell
3.2 beer and wine at its Public Dock Grand Opening using the license that the
Division holds, under the following terms and conditions.

Sales may occur between 2:00 p.m. and 8:�0 p.m.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that all sales are made to
persons age twenty-one (21) and older.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that no sales are made to
individuals who are or appear to be intoxicated.
That the Division of Parks and Recreation shall, at all times, comply
with all State of Minnesota ad City of Saint Paul ordinances, laws and
statutes pertaining to the sale of wine and 3.2 beer.

approval to sell 3.2 beer and wine at events on Harriet Island. The Grand Opening includes
concerts by the U.S. Air Force Jazz Band and the St. Pau] Chamber Orchestra.
