WI3EREAS, The Saint Paul Division of Parks and Recreation holds a 3.2 beer and
wine license for the City's Harriet/Raspberry Island Park; and
WHEREAS, Section 19, Chapter 554, Minnesota Laws 1990 pursuant to Minnesota
Statutes 1988, Chapter 654.021 allows the Division of Parks and Recreation, with City
Council approval, to sell wine and 3.2 beer at events sponsored by the Division of
Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, Rib Buddies or its vendors, will operate all concessions for the Rib
Fest, to take place on May 31, June 1 and 2, 1996 at Harriet Island;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Rib Buddies may use the Division o£ Parks
and Recreation licenses to sell 3.2 beer and/or wine at Rib Fest under the following
terms and conditions:

Sales shall occur only between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that all sales are made to persons
age 21 and over.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that no sales are made to individuals
who are or appear to be intoxicated.
That Rib Buddies shall, at all times, comply with all State of Minnesota and
City of Saint Pau1 ordinances, laws, and statutes pertaining to the sale of
wine and 3.2 beer.
5. That Rib Buddies shall provide liquor liability insurance in the amount of
Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) for the dates that Rib Fest
operates. A certificate of insurance naming the City of Saint Paul as an
additional insured shall be provided to the City Attorney's 0£fice prior to any
sale of 3.2 beer and/or wine.
