WIIEREAS, Towery Publishing of Memphis, Tennessee, is engaged in a book and
photography series called "Urban Tapestry", and
WHEREAS, Towery Publishing now wishes to produce a photo journal of the
Minneapolis and Saint Paul azea as a part of this series, and
WHEREAS, Towery Publishing has requested a letter of support from the Mayor to
assist in its promotions, and
WHEREAS, Towery Pubiishing has generously offered 100 copies of its Minneapolis
and Saint Paul "Urban Tapestry" once it is completed for the Ciry's use in promoting our
region, nowtherefore be it,
RESOLVED, that the City hereby accepts Towery's generous gift and extends its deep
appreciation to Towery for providing a marketing tool that can be used in promoting the
City's economy and livability, and
FURTT�ER RESOLVED, that the City Council recommends to the Mayor that a letter
of support far Towery's efforts be drafted and issued, and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council appropriates to the Mayor, Council
and pertinent City employees such copies of the photo journal offered and produced far their
use in marketing the City, and

3 acceptance and appropriation of the Mituieapolis and Saint Paul Urban Tapeshy which will be
