RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full to the City, in a
form to be approved by the City Attorney, the proper City officers are hereby authorized
and d'uected to pay out of the Judgment and Compromise Fund 09070-512, to Beatrice M.
Wobse, James H. Wobse and their attorney, Mitchell W. Converse, the sum of $4,850.00 in
full settlement of their claim of negligence for damages sustained on or about November
2, 1993, as more particulazly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the CiTy Clerk's Office
on December 3, 1993.

On November 2, 1993, Beatrice M. Wobse, a seventy year old woman,
was walking on the sidewalk at 593 Galtier Street when she tripped
on an unleveled portion of a repaired sidewalk. Beatrice M. Wobse
' sued the City of St. Paul for injuries she received as a result of
the accident, and her husband, James H. Wobse, also sued the City
of St. Paul for the lost of his wife's services. Beatrice M.
.
ADVANTAGESIF are alleging that the sidewalk in question was faultily
repaired; this fact, if believed by a jury, could result in
findings of tort liability against the City making it liable to
Beatrice M. Wobse and 3ames H. Wobse for their damages. This
office recommends settlement of this matter in the amount of
$4,850.00 in total to both Beatrice M. wobse and James H. Wobse.
