as Chief Deputy for the Washington County Shesiff's Department. During the life of this

This agreeme t is entered into the day of January, 1996, by

Police (herein ter "City").

3. As Theodore P. Brown serve at the pleasure of the
Sheriff of Washington Count , this intergovernmental
mobility agreement may be term ated at any time, with a
minimum of 30 calendar day not'ce by the County. The
agreement may also be terminat d at any time with a
minimum of 30 calendar day notice by Theodore P. Brown.
4. The County shall reimburse Theodo e P. Brown for all
expenses incurred which relate to h's duties as Chief
Deputy SherifP pursuant to applicab e County expense
reimbursement policy and proaedure pro 'sions.

5. During the duration o£ this intergovernmental mobility
agreement, Theodore P. Brown remains an employee of the
City and continues to accrue and retain any benefits,
seniority, compensation with and from the City in
accordance with any current and subsequently approved
City administrative procedures and/or policies and labor
agreements, including any increases in compensation that
ay occur during the twenty-four (24) month period of the
m bility agreement for which Theodore P. Brown would be
el qible.
6. Tota compensation for the position of Chief Deputy held
by Th dore P. Brown will be set annually at the rate of
ninety ercent (90�) of the salary of the Washington
County eriff. The County will be responsible for all
payments 'n compensation for which Theodore P. Brown may
be eligibl over and above his compensation by the City,
including p nsion and retirement benefits in the position
of Chief Dep ty Sheriff, as set forth in paragraph 7.

such bene£its paid for an injuries arising from or
relating to the course and s pe of Theodore P. Brown's
employment under the terms o this intergovernmental
mobility agreement, plus an add tional 5 percent of such
payments for administrative cost .
In lieu of the foregoing Theodor P. Brown may draw
benefits for injuries occurring in e course and scope
of his employment by the County pursua t to Chapter 12 of
the City Charter and the County will r imburse the City
for those expenses in the manner set fo th above.
9. Theodore P. Brown will be treated as a co nty employee
and thus subject to the limits and exclusio s contained
in the Washington County Personnel Rules and R ulations,
Minnesota and federal statutes for any claims, demands,
actions or causes of action while acting within e scope
of his employment under the terms o this

The City will continue to be responsible for maintaining
any uniform allowance account for which Theodore P. Brown
ay be eligible. Theodore P. Brown will be authorized to

offer or romise of permanent employment to Theodore P.
Brown with the County.
12. Theodore P. own retains the right to return to his
previous emplo ent with the City upon expiration of the
mobility agreeme or due to termination of the agreement
at any time durin the twenty-four (24) month period.
13. The City will submit 'nvoices to the County as agreed

each fiscal year (the onth of December) will be
submitted no later than Ja ary 31st of each calendar
year.
