WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. §270.72, subd.l (1994) quires the revocation of any license
for the conduct of a profession, occupation, trade or b iness held by an applicant who owes
$500 or more in delinquent taYes or has not filed re s, and;
WHEREAS, under said statute the State o�"Minnesota must notify the applicant of the
intent to require revocation of such license, and�of their right to a hearing, and;
WHEREAS, a hearing under this sta statute is expressly provided to be in lieu of any
other hearings or proceedings zequired by aw, which would include the hearing provisions of
St. Paul Leg. Code § 310.05, and;
WHEREAS, the City has agr d with the Department of Revenue that the definition of
°revoke" as used in the statute is p cedurally the same as the process used by the City of
Saint Paul for a license suspensio , and;
WHEREAS, the licens suspension must be implemented within thiriy (30) days of
receipt of the Notice of Tax iability,
and is in effect until the c issioner issues a tax cleazance certificate, and;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the pawnbroker's li nse held by Daryl

liability and under Minnesota Statute 270.72 and/or 16D.08 subd. 2, you
