96-187., - S�A�$}��'y�'�` � 3�(�'�� Council File » gG- IS+'4 Green Sheet '-'. 3 `3y�: RESOLUTION CiTY OF SAIlVT PAUL, MiNNESOTA Presented By ��� �� Referred To Committee: Date 1 WF3EREAS, the City of Saint Paul periodically negotiates wages and fringe benefits with those City 2 employees who aze represented by exclusive bargaining representatives, and 3 WHEREAS, the City must periodically establish wage and fringe benefits, or adjust the established 4 wages and fringe benefits of the City's nonrepresented admiiristrative and legislative employees; and 5 WHEREAS; it would be beneficial to the Ciry as a whole, and to harmonious employment 6 relationships, that a formula be established to provide a reasonable level o£wages and fringe benefit 7 contribution for such nonrepresented administrative and legislative employees; now, therefore, be 8 it 9 RESOLVED, that the nonrepresented administrative and legislative employees shall receive a salary 10 increase of 2% retroactive to January 1, 1995; and be it 11 FURTHER RESOLVED, that, beginning in 1996 and thereafter, the level of increase, or decrease, 12 in uages for the nonrepresented administrative and legisiative employees shall be adjusted annuaily 13 to reflect the average wage increase, or decrease, included in the agreements of the City's five lazgest 14 bargaining units; and be it 15 FURTHER RESOLVED, that this annual adjustment shall be effective the first day of each 16 respective year; and be it 17 FURTHER RESOLVED, that ail salary increases reflected in this Resolution apply to the 18 nonrepresented administrative and legislative employees on the City payroll on or after March 1, 19 1996; and be it 20 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the employer health and life insurance programs, and the City 21 contribution for such programs, granted to the nonrepresented administrative and legislative 22 employees pursuant to Resolution under C.F. A nonciassified employee covered by this policy, no# electing to return to a previously held City position, is eligible under this policy. This amount of payment shall be equal to two weeks pay for each year of service in a titie covered by the policy. However, this amount shall not exceed twelve (12) weeks pay. Ciassified employees covered by this policy shall be eligible for a lump sum payment in the event they sever employment from the City.
