WfiEREAS, The City of Saint Paul, Division o£ Parks and Recreation has received a grant
from the General Mills Foundation to fund the Como Park Artist's Residence, and
WHEREAS, General Mills Foundation has agreed to provide up to $20,000 cash allotment to
provide the artist instructor, art materials and transportation, and
WHEREAS, Como Park Conservatory has agreed to provide o£fice space, utilities,
supervixion, teaching space and students, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.01 of the City Charter, does certify that
there are available for appropriation, revenues in excess of those estimated in the 1996
budget, and
WHEREAS, Council File 277520, adopted October 1, 1981 did establish certain Special Fund
policies, and
WHEREAS, The Mayor recommends the following changes to the 1996 budget:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Private Donations fund be amended to allow for the
acceptance of a donation which will allow for trie payment o£ the artist's residency at the
Como Conservatory.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Council approves these changes to the 1996 budget.
