In full settlement of neg tiations, the parties hereto agree as follows: 1. Except as herein, the 19 1-1994 Collective Bargaining Agreement between the parties signed on Fe ruary 10, 1993 shall be the basis of the forthcoming labor agree ent. 2. Delete the Cover Page nd replace with the attached Cover Page. 3. Delete the Preamble an replace with the attached Preamble. 4. Delete Article 12.1 and eplace with the following: "12.1 The basic ho ly wage rates as established by Appendix C and Append' F shall be paid for all hours worked by the an employee. 5. Delete Article 13.1 and replace with the following: "13.1 The Employe shall make contribution on behalf of and/or make deduct ons from the wages of employees covered by this AGREE NT in accordance with Appendix D and Appendix G for all ho s worked." 6. The EMPLOYER and the UNIO concur that this AGREEMENT has as its objective the promotion of the responsibilit es of the City of Saint Paul for the benefit of the general public through effective 1 bor-management cooperation. The EMPLOYER and the UNIO both realize that this goal depends not only on the words in the AGREEMENT but ather primarily on attitudes between people at all levels of responsibility. Construc 've attitudes of the EMPLOYER, the UNION, and the individual employees will best se e the needs of the general public. iii � � r I ��D � � ARTICLE 16 - HOLIDAYS , 16.1 The following ten (10) days shall be designated as holidays: - New Year's Day, January 1 Martin Luther King Day, 3 Monday in January (effective 1986) Presidents' Day, Third Mo ay in February Memorial Day, last Monda in May Independence Day, July 4 Labor Day, first Monday i September Veteran's Day, November 1 Thanksgiving Day, fourth ursday in November Day After Thanksgiving, f rth Friday in November Christmas Day, December 5 16.2 When New Year's Day, In ependence Day or Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shal be considered the designated holiday. When any of these three (3) holidays fa s on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered the designated oliday. 16.3 The ten (10) holidays shal be considered non-work days. 16.4 If, in the judgment of the MPLOYER, personnel are necessary for operating or emergency reasons, empl ees may be scheduled, "called in" or "called back" in accordance with Article 1(CALL IN/CALL BACK). 16.5 Participating employees defined in Articles 12.3, 12.4 and 12.5, other than Fire Sprinkler Inspectors, wo 'ng on the holidays listed below shall be paid on a straight time basis. New Year's Day Christmas Day 16.9 Participating employees, as efined in Articles 12.3, 12.4 and 12.5, other than Fire Sprinkler Inspectors, orking on Labor Day shall be recompensed for work done on this day by being ranted compensatory time on a time and one-half basis, or by being paid o a time and one-half basis for such hours worked, in addition to their regular liday pay. 16.10 Fire Sprinkler Inspectors rking on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day or Thanksgiving Day shall be recompensed for work done on any of these days by being granted co pensatory time on a time and one-half basis or by being paid on a time and one-h lf basis for such hours worked, in addition to their regular holiday pay. During the calendar year of 1994 Fire Sprinkler Inspect rs working on the Friday before L.abor Day shall be recompensed for work don on this day by being granted compensatory time on a straight time basis or by be I g paid on a straight time basis in addition to their regular holiday pay. 16.11 If an employee other than Participating Employee entitled to a holiday is required to work on Marti Luther King Day, President Day, Veteran's Day, or Day After Thanksgiving, h/she shall be granted another day off with his/her pay in lieu thereof as soon the after as the convenience of the department permits, or he/she shall be paid on a straight time basis for such hours worked, in addition to his/her regular holiday ay. If an employee other than a participating employee entitled to a hol day is required to work on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, bor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, he/she shall be recompensed for ork done on this day by being granted compensatory time on a time and one-h lf basis or by being paid on a time and one-half basis for such hours worked, in ddition to his/her regular holiday pay. The basic hourly wage rate for rovisional, regular and probationary employees appointed to the following classi� tion shall be: Effec iv 12-25-93 Fire Sprinkler Inspector 20.85* * This rate includes the $.50 taxa le vacation contribution -C1- q4-��o �. APPENDIX G . Effective December 25, 1993, for ployees working in the title of Fire Sprinkler Inspector the Employer shall: 1. contribute to a Health and We are Fund $3.75 per hour for all hours worked. 2. contribute to the National Pe I 'on Fund $2.20 er hour for all hours worked. P 3. contribute to the Su lement Pension Fund $3.00 er hour for all hours worked. PP P 4, contribute to the Education F d$.16 per hour for all hours worked. 5. deduct and forward to the Va tion Fund $.50 per hour for all hours worked. All contributions and deductions ade in accordance with this Appendix G shall be forwarded to the parties designat by the Union. The Employer shall establish Wo er's Compensation and Unemployment Compensation programs as required by Minneso a Statutes. The EMPLOYER's fringe benefi obligation is limited to the contributions and/or deductions established by this A REEMENT.
