1 WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul has a beautiful new park on the Mississippi River,
2 located adjacent to the lower landing (Lambert's Landing) and extending east
3 past Childs Road, and
4 WHEREAS, up until today, this park has remained nameless, and
5 WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of this City Councii on July 12, 1995, a resolution
6 was passed to form a committee that would make a recommendation to this body
� with a name for this park, a name that would meet the established criteria of the
8 Parks and Recreation Commission, and

WHEREAS, this committee did solicit names for the park from the community, and
WHEREAS, this committee met to review all entries submitted and appears before you
today with our recommendations;
NOW, THEREFORE BE 1T RESOLVED, that the park be named LOWER LANDIPJG
PARK.
