In the Matter of constructing the Irvine Ave e ea Storm Sewer Separation
Project. Area is bounded on the North by Summit Avenue, on the South by
Pleasant Avenue and Ramsey Street, on the West by Western Avenue and on the
East by Vacated Chestnut Street.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of
the Mayor upon the above imprcvement, and having considered said report,
hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and tha? the estimated cost thereof is $401,000
financed by State Grants $248,000, Sewer Revenue Bonds $112,000
and Assessments $41,0)0.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 7th
day of_December, 1994, at 3:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Nall and Court House Building in the City of
Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hearing be given to the persons and in
the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof
as estimated.

A combined sanitary and storm sewer syste serves this area. To comply with the federally mandated
sewer separation goals, a sewer separation t i oject is planned for this area.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Reduced sewage overflow into the Mississip'1 River, and compliance with federal mandate.
DISADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
General construction noise and traffic disru i tion. Also, part of the cost of this project will be assessed to
the benefitting properties, payable over a m. of 20 years.
DISADVANTAGES IF NOT APPROVED:
