In the Matter of improving Stewart Avenue, froti 'aynard Drive to Rankin
St., with concrete curb and gutter, grading and paving and a new lighting
system. These improvements are in conjunction with MAYNARD /STEWART CSSP
Project.
The Council of the City of Saint Paul having received the report of
the Mayor upon the above imprcvement, and having considered said report,
hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved with no
alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $400,000
financed by 1995 Capital Improvement Budget $300,000 and
Assessments $100,000.
2. That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 7th
day of_December, 1994, at 3:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers of the City Sall and Court House Building in the City of
Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said p hearing be given to the persons and in
the manner provided b7 the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature o. the improvement and the total cost thereof
as estimated.

Public Works determined that open cut won for storm sewer reconstruction, along Stewart Ave, would be
significantly cheaper than trench restoration. of the existing street. Therefore it has been proposed to add
said street to the paving & lighting project.

Temporary construction disruptions and assessments to affected properties.
