1 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City C. ncil passed resolution 93 -857 on June 10,
2 1993, ordering the demolition • the structure at 449 East Seventh Street;
3 and
4 WHEREAS, a serious offer has b -n made to purchase and rehabilitate the
5 structure at 449 East Seventh reet; and
6 WHEREAS, a condition of that p rchase agreement is conditional on the new
7 owner being able to secure off street parking; and
8 WHEREAS, it appears that secur'ng that off street parking may take up to
9 120 days because of the need t• vacate an unused street; and
10WHEREAS, it is the Council's d =sire to preserve and rehabilitate structures
llinstead of demolition whenever •ractical;
12THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the "paint Paul City Council amends resolution 93-
13857 ordering the rehabilitatio 1 or demolition of the property at 449 East
14Seventh Street changing the col•letion date from "thirty days of the
15publication of the resolution" to "April 1,1995."
