What skills /training or ex . - riences do you possess for the
committee for which you seek appointment?
As a 27 -year -old quadriplegi•, and lifelong city resident, I have a
vested interest in addressing he concerns of St. Paul's disabled
community.
As an employee of the Minne ota Legislature for the past four years,
I would bring an intimate kn• wledge of the legislative process to the
committee. I have a working elationship with members of the St.
Paul delegation, should their •fforts or assistance be required.
I am proficient in a number o Macintosh software programs, and
have a direct Internet and An erica On Line connection. Each of these
technological services is a tre lendous resource for the disabled
community, serving as both . retrieval /research information center,
and an interactive environmai t for those seeking advice /answers to
specific concerns.
I have navigated both the loc. 1 and state systems in place for aiding
those with disabilities, and ai aware of both their benefits and
shortcomings. I would be ho .red to assist those who come after me,
by working to advise the May .r and City Council of concerns unique
to the disabled community.
