WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Chap - r 68, Wetland Conservation, to the Saint Paul Legislative Code
as part of the zoning code effective March 18, 1994, (Council File 94 -75); and
WHEREAS, the ordinance adopts the M esota Conservation Act of 1991 and establishes a technical
evaluation panel which is to be comprised o three (3) technical professional employees from the following:
1. The Minnesota Board of Water Soil esources;
2. The Ramsey Soil and Water Consery tion District;
3. The local government unit.
WHEREAS, the City Council is required u '• er Chapter 68, to appoint a technical employee to the evaluation
panel representing the local government uni said technical employee shall be capable of obtaining expertise
in water resource management and act as tie contact person and coordinator for the panel; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Zoning Adm .trator is responsible for administering Chapter 68; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Administrator, aft r consultation with the Mayor's Office, has assigned Lawrence
Zangs the duties of coordinating wetland r.gulations; now,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that up. l the recommendation of the Mayor, the Saint Paul City Council
appoints Lawrence Zangs as the representa ve of the City of Saint Paul to serve on the technical evaluation
panel as required by Chapter 68 of the Le slative Code.
